The Labor and Employment Law Department represents public and private sector employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including the defense of charges of employment discrimination.
Our clients include employers from manufacturing, construction and service industries. In addition, we represent numerous area municipalities in labor relations.
Our firm represents clients before the National Labor Relations Board in connection with union representation elections and unfair labor practice proceedings. Similar representation is provided before the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board for our public-sector clients.
In the area of employment discrimination, we defend employers against discrimination complaints brought before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. We review employers' personnel policies and personnel manuals to insure compliance with various anti-discrimination laws.
We regularly represent our clients in collective bargaining negotiations and grievance and interest arbitrations. Services also include counseling clients on all matters involving federal and state labor laws.
We also counsel and represent our clients in other labor-related areas, such as unemployment compensation proceedings, wage and hour investigations, and discipline and discharge issues.
