Administrative Law

The lawyers of Selman Breitman's administrative law group have the knowledge, expertise and experience to offer "full service" representation in the broad spectrum of land use and public construction matters. With offices throughout California and Nevada, the firm is able to assist clients in developing and achieving solutions that overcome a myriad of legal and political obstacles that confront private and public projects, as well as to help guard against unexpected challenges faced in project development.

Selman Breitman has successfully represented individual property owners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors in actions before administrative agencies such as city councils, planning and zoning commissions, board of public works, unified school districts, and the superior and appellate courts throughout California. The firm is comprised of experienced practitioners who provide counsel and engage in litigated actions involving bid protests, determination of responsibility, bidder responsiveness, debarment, pre-qualification, planning commission, land use appeals, city council action appeals, and California Environmental Quality Act matters.

Through extensive involvement in organizations such as the Engineering Contractors' Association, Selman Breitman remains current in the challenges facing the construction industry and plays a significant role in the drafting of legislation and regulations that shape construction law in California. Additionally, the firm's administrative lawyers are actively involved in and frequently serve on expert panels for the industry and professional organizations.
