ADA Building Compliance

Sullivan Ward attorneys work with clients to maintain compliance under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all appropriate state and federal laws. We also provide effective representation when a claim of non-compliance is filed. We have represented real estate and design professionals in matters brought by the Justice Department on behalf of HUD.

Our attorneys, some of whom are professional engineers, assist developers and builders in the planning stages of commercial and residential projects. We perform accurate and clear review of building construction and retrofit plans to ensure ADA compliance is met. We handle all types of issues, including wheelchair access, ramps, restrooms, drinking fountains, elevators, alarms, signage and numerous others. We are well-versed in regulations pertaining to assembly areas, stadiums, sports arenas, public spaces and residential developments.

In the event a claim of non-compliance is filed, our team will review the matter and recommend the best course of action relative to the circumstances. Our attorneys are certified arbitrators and mediators, skilled in avoiding litigation to resolve matters. If necessary, however, our litigators possess the experience and industry knowledge to present a strong and effective case on your behalf.
