Taking Action
To realize our vision, Swift Currie acts intentionally through the development and implementation of several initiatives in the areas of recruitment, retention, professional development and advancement. These initiatives include, but are not limited to:
Engaging in Active Recruitment:

Creating a Climate of Inclusion (Retention, Professional Development and Advancement):
· Retaining qualified attorneys through the implementation of Swift Currie University, an educational program designed to help legal professionals to develop their skills and knowledge;
· Partnering junior attorneys with more experienced attorneys through Swift Currie’s Mentoring Program;
· Helping to maintain a supportive environment by encouraging our staff and attorneys to participate in organizations, activities and events which promote diversity; and
· Sending staff and professionals to conferences and training that aid in skill development and knowledge acquisition.
Accountability
Recognizing that diversity is an ongoing process calling for commitment and accountability, the firm has created a Diversity Committee charged with administering, monitoring, and evaluating the firm’s diversity goals and objectives. The Diversity Committee meets regularly and reports directly to the firm’s Executive Committee. Members of the Diversity Committee serve on both the Hiring and Executive Committees.
