Taft understands that commercial agreements are the lifeblood of any business. Attorneys at Taft have a long history of drafting, negotiating and enforcing commercial agreements, skills that require a broad base of legal expertise and an understanding of each client’s operating risk profile. Whether developing terms and conditions of sale for manufacturers and distributors or negotiating license and service terms for software developers and licensees, members of Taft’s Commercial Transactions and Contracts practice bring strategic focus to each transaction. Taft has developed a core group of attorneys who spend more than 50 percent of their time working on commercial agreements. Consequently, our attorneys can efficiently and effectively represent our clients, develop in-depth industry knowledge and offer real-world solutions to facilitate the business objectives of purchasing (or selling) goods and services at home and around the world. While members of this practice are well-versed in the numerous legal areas implicated by each commercial transaction, we utilize Taft’s various practice group specialists for expertise when specialized issues arise.
