Professional Liability

Although the original focus of this practice area was medical malpractice defense, over the years we have developed skills in many other professional liability areas. In addition to representing doctors, hospitals and nurses, we have successfully defended lawyers, accountants, veterinarians, architects and engineers. We have represented thousands of clients in front of juries, before licensing and ethics boards, in administrative processes, and during all phases of the pre-litigation screening panel process.

We work together with our clients to learn the subject matter in depth, whether medicine, accounting or subspecialties of the law. Our view is that the best defense is an analytical and detailed understanding of both the facts and the law applicable in every case.

We also take a proactive role in our representation of our clients. Our lawyers regularly conduct in-house training and educational seminars for our clients. Our goal is not only to educate our clients about the malpractice litigation process, but also to be aware of the risk management tools that can help ensure that a claim can be successfully defended, or even avoided altogether.
