  • Timberlands: Representation of investment fund in acquisition, ownership, and eventual sale of approximately 1 million acres of commercial timberlands; representation of investment fund in acquisition and management of more than three hundred thousand acres of commercial timberlands; representation of landowners in sale of approximately two hundred thousand acres of commercial timberlands, including complex partition and exchange of fractional interests.
  • Energy & Wind Power: Representation of developers of large-scale commercial wind power projects, including title review, fee and easement acquisitions, leasing, construction financing, and successful permitting of project and associated transmission line; representation of potential purchaser of hydroelectric facility, including due diligence review of title and survey documents and contracts, and preparation of purchase and sale agreement; representation of natural gas pipeline expansion project involving five compressor stations.
  • Lending: Representation of lender on three related loans to three separate borrowers secured by commercial shopping center properties.
  • Leasing: Representation of industrial landowner in connection with leasing of mill site for oil marine terminal facility; representation of wireless cell phone carrier in leasing and permitting numerous tower sites.
  • Development: Representation of owner of multi-building commercial/industrial complex, including negotiating leases for numerous tenants, advising on the construction of an additional building at the site, and construction and permanent financing; representation of developer of office building, including site acquisition, leasing, permitting, construction financing, and negotiating limited liability company documents between developer and equity investors; representation of owner of urban land parcel in connection with mixed-use development, including a luxury hotel and private residences.
  • Easements: Representation of landowners in connection with negotiation and sale of conservation easements to states and non-profit organizations.
  • General Real Estate: Representation of purchasers of waterfront residence including advice with respect to easement arrangements with abutting landowners and potential construction of a pier.
