Family Law

Wadleigh, Starr & Peters has an active and vigorous statewide Family Law practice. As a result of the Firm’s wide range of civil practice areas, our Family Law attorneys have the ability to draw upon other practice areas of the Firm, including but not limited, to commercial transactions, real estate conveyances, land use, tax and school law.

We represent husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, and grandparents in all areas of family law, including, but not limited to, divorces, parenting petitions (formerly known as custody disputes), post-divorce enforcement matters, child support, alimony, relocation of minor children, domestic violence petitions, drafting and negotiation of prenuptial agreements, guardianships and grandparents’ rights disputes. Our Family Law attorneys practice statewide in New Hampshire and have obtained favorable results in Belknap, Carroll, Cheshire, Coos, Grafton, Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham and Strafford Counties.

Our attorneys have a demonstrated ability to listen to each client’s needs during what can be challenging times in their lives. The Family Law Group attorneys have extensive trial skills, honed before judges and juries across New Hampshire and are dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for our clients. We work cooperatively with each client to determine whether each particular case can and should be settled through mediation or by agreement or whether a litigated resolution is required.

We have had the honor and privilege of representing both active duty and retired members of our military, including Army, Navy and Coast Guard service members and their families. We have also represented physicians, attorneys, accountants, veterinarians, insurance executives, engineers, air traffic controllers, federal agency executives, teachers, small business owners, realtors, hair stylists and homemakers.
