The Weissman REO Department offers one point of contact with the convenience of several closing offices. A team of attorneys and paralegals with more than15 years of experience in this field understands the details and timelines associated with closing REO properties.
Working with lenders and servicers in a responsive manner, the Weissman REO Department provides complete closing services including title clearance, seller representation, and associated services. Out team runs preliminary title searches and clears title to ensure that there are no delays upon receipt of the contract. Our REO department prepares all necessary documents for the closing process. As a result, when we close our REO sales, we are able to ensure the wire and final HUD-1 are sent to the seller immediately after closing. Our web-based technology ensures a transparent and seamless closing process.
As part of the REO process, Weissman naturally also handles the eviction, dispossessory, and ejectment cases for foreclosed loans throughout Georgia and Tennessee. This includes the preparation and service of demand letters, filing Complaints, attendance at hearings, expediting Writs of Possession upon successful judgments, collecting any rents due under the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act, and resolving any eventual appeals.
