Wicker Smith's trust and estate attorneys have extensive experience in handling estate administration and the related estate tax and income tax planning. The firm has successfully represented individuals and professional fiduciaries in a timely and cost effective manner.

In addition to the administration of trusts and estates, Wicker Smith's trust and estate attorneys have extensive experience in probate litigation, including will contests, the defense and prosecution of breach of fiduciary duty cases and a variety of other probate litigation matters.

Some of the firm's most notable work includes:

  • Administration of the Rebozo Estate and the litigation that occurred between the Rebozo Trust and the Nixon Library.
  • Litigation between the surviving spouse and the Estate of Gregory H. Hemingway, who was the son of Ernest Hemingway.

The head of Wicker Smith's trust and estate planning practice has taught Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates for over 30 years at the University of Miami School of Law and has co-authored the Tax Management Portfolio of Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates.
