Antitrust & Trade Regulation

Wise Carter attorneys have been engaged in antitrust and trade regulation counseling and litigation for many years. We have represented clients in a broad range of businesses and industries, including companies engaged in television broadcasting, automobile dealership networking, wholesaling and retailing, healthcare, dairy products, cable television, retail franchise, and sales.

Wise Carter has experience dealing with federal and state antitrust statutes, including the Sherman Act, the Clayton Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, the Packers & Stockyards Act, the Robinson-Patman Price Discrimination Act, the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, and the Mississippi Antitrust Act. Members of the Firm also have experience in cases involving the interrelationship of antitrust and intellectual property laws, including patent misuse.

Wise Carter handles non-statutory antitrust and trade matters, such as employee non-compete contracts and disputes involving tortious interference with contracts, unfair competition and other business torts. The Firm has also counseled clients on such matters as interlocking directorates, joint ventures and relations between manufacturers or suppliers, distributors and dealers.
