Biography

Laura Weinfeld, joined Walton Lantaff in 2017 and has since become a cornerstone of the firm’s litigation and trial team. Ms. Weinfeld’s foundation in law was shaped by internships with the Honorable Ursula Ungaro (U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida), the Honorable Samantha Ruiz Cohen (Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida), and Judge Norma Lindsey (Third District Court of Appeal). Her earlier experience at Mitrani Rynor, Tew Cardenas, and Greenberg Traurig solidified her as a versatile advocate with both corporate and courtroom fluency.

A Miami native, Ms. Weinfeld began her distinguished academic career at Columbia University, earning her B.A. in Comparative/Spanish Literature and four semesters of Dean’s List recognition. She later graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where her academic excellence was complemented by active participation in the Law Review, the Order of the Coif, and the Cardozo Legal Society. Ms. Weinfeld’s current practice concentrates on insurance defense, automobile liability, and personal injury, with a growing specialization in aviation-related claims, focusing primarily on personal injury and liability disputes. Fluent in English and Spanish, and knowledgeable in French, she credits her multilingualism with enhancing client communication and case comprehension.
