A substantial portion of Mr. Serpe's practice is devoted to children with traumatic brain injuries. He has commissioned over 200 neuropsychological assessments to document the extent of brain injury and is an expert in demonstrating the extent of a victim's loss. After law school, Richard Serpe obtained his Masters Degree (LLM) in maritime law from Tulane University School of Law. He has obtained the highest ranking (Proctor) from the Maritime Law Association of the United States. Mr. Serpe has represented maritime workers who have been injured in the course of their employment, as well as those injured in recreational boating accidents.

Mr. Serpe is frequently associated in complex litigation, managing cases with difficult scientific and medical issues. He has experience managing large case cohorts, including the extensive use of database and litigation support software. He is a member of the Plaintiff Steering Committee for MDL 2047 Chinese Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, and represents hundreds of victims in Virginia.
