In Mr. Marinaccio's early career as an attorney, he concentrated his practice in the area of criminal trial prosecutions. As a special assistant attorney with the United States Department of Justice; an assistant United States Attorney, a first assistant State's Attorney in Kane County, Illinois and an assistant DuPage County State's Attorney, Lee obtained extensive and valuable experience as a trial lawyer. Since leaving his commitment to public service, Lee has concentrated his legal practice in the area of family law. For the past 35 years, Lee has exclusively handled family law matters.
Mr. Marinaccio's extensive experience in the area of family law has allowed him to prosecute and defend all types of contested family law issues. He has successfully tried to completion issues relating to the joint and sole custody of children; child abuse; restrictions on visitation and other visitation related issues; removal and defense against the removal of children from the State of Illinois; current and past due child support issues; child care and day care expense related issues; medical related issues for children and spouses; education issues for children and spouses; spousal support issues including initiating, limiting, modifying or otherwise terminating maintenance (alimony); extensive and complicated property issues including the identification of property; classification of property as marital or non-marital property; evaluation of property and the eventual distribution of property through successful competent negotiation or if necessary, through trial litigation. In his more than 43 years of experience as a trial attorney, Lee has been recognized by his peers as one of the preeminent practitioners in the field of family law.

Lee and his wife of 46 years, Katherine, have five children, LeeAnne, Carla, Laura, Anna, and Anthony and have ten grandchildren.
