Established in 1961, Anchors Smith Grimsley provides a full range of legal services in the rapidly developing area of Florida Panhandle in Northwest Florida, including Fort Walton Beach, Destin, DeFuniak Springs, Navarre and Tallahassee. The firm's objective is to provide a full range of transactional and litigation legal services to our local clients and to be uniquely positioned to provide representation and local support to out of state clients and their general counsel. The transaction side of the firm is complimented by an extensive and full range civil, criminal and administrative trial practice. Members of the firm have provided their time to the legal profession and the civic community through service on the Judicial Nominating Commissions for trial and appellate judges, the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, the Florida Bar Board of Bar Examiners, the First Judicial Circuit Committee on Legal Professionalism, and presidencies of the Okaloosa Walton Bar Association and the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. Members of the firm include former and present city attorneys, school board attorneys, assistant state attorneys, and deputy general counsels to the Florida Governor. Several of the firm members are certified by the Florida Supreme Court as Circuit Court mediators.
