All of our lawyers previously practiced at prestigious national law firms, working on complex, high-profile matters. The Angeli & Calfo LLC provides the same level of knowledge, experience, and results that clients expect and demand from those firms, but does so in a much more efficient and cost-effective manner because we are not burdened by the enormous overhead that plagues large law firms.

In addition, because our attorneys are experienced in handling complex matters in both the criminal and civil realms, the firm is particularly adept at dealing with complex "parallel" civil and criminal proceedings. Such matters are increasingly common as state and federal criminal and civil enforcement agencies-and private plaintiffs-continue to look for new ways to coordinate their investigations and legal actions to maximize their collective ability to gather information and exact penalties.

Whether or not a case goes to trial, our attorneys understand that each stage of a case requires their full attention and effort, and that pretrial preparation and strategy are as important to a successful defense as masterful courtroom representation. Of course, the best result for our clients occurs when the government declines to initiate criminal charges. Many of the firm's greatest victories are the ones no one ever hears about-the many instances in which the Angeli & Calfo LLC, through thorough preparation and vigorous advocacy, has succeeded in convincing the government to conclude an investigation without bringing charges against our clients.

We are particularly experienced in handling complex "white collar" matters concerning allegations of environmental offenses; Customs, insurance, tax, and health care fraud; violations of the False Claims Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and federal and state antitrust laws; and theft of intellectual property, bribery, and political corruption.
