About this firm

Bayne, Snell & Krause has been representing families and businesses in San Antonio and South and Central Texas for over thirty years.

We are primarily a trial law firm specializing in commercial litigation, construction litigation, personal injury, professional and medical malpractice, and consumer law. The firm represents a wide variety of clients, plaintiffs and defendants, from large national corporations to individuals, in claims involving commercial disputes, fraud, automobile, truck and motorcycle accidents, insurance claims, medical and professional malpractice, labor and employment, products liability, deceptive trade practices, and construction litigation.

Don Krause is a lawyer with 36 years of experience who is a practitioner who specializes in civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial and banking matters. He has practiced in San Antonio and South Texas for over thirty years, representing the interests of both Plaintiffs and Defendants. Mr. Krause is a past chairperson of the Consumer Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and has served as an adjunct professor at St. Mary’s University School of Law.

Snell & Snell, L.P. is comprised of the father-and-son team, Barry Snell and David C. “Clay” Snell, who have distinguished themselves in the Central and South Texas legal community.

Barry Snell, with forty years’ experience as a trial lawyer, is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is recognized in “The Best Lawyers in America” since 2009, and as a “Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine, a distinction given only to ten percent of lawyers in Texas. In 2010, Mr. Snell was one of only ten San Antonio attorneys who were among the “Top 50” vote getters in Texas Monthly’s peer review process.

Clay Snell is a lawyer with eleven years experience. He was recognized as a Rising Star by Texas Monthly, a distinction given to the top lawyers in Texas under the age of forty.

William Germany, a graduate of St. Mary’s University School of law, recently joined the firm as an associate attorney.

Recognizing that many individuals and businesses lack the resources to pay for legal services up front, Bayne, Snell & Krause will accept certain cases on a contingent fee basis, meaning the client is not required to pay any fees or expenses unless a recovery is obtained. Regardless of whether representation is on an hourly or contingent basis, we pride ourselves in providing high quality, aggressive and diligent representation of our clients. We strive to keep our services affordable to all our clients. We focus on the merits of our clients’ cases, and offer practical and effective solutions to our clients’ problems.
