About this firm

You may feel alone while you recover from injuries in an accident, but you are not. You may feel like no one is fighting for you if involved in an insurance dispute or business litigation, but you don't have to be.

For more than 30 years, Iowa residents have relied on the attorneys at the Beattie Law Firm for compassionate, yet aggressive legal representation in claims against individuals, businesses, and insurance companies.

Our practice is unique. We represent injured and aggrieved Iowans throughout the entire state. Our clients reside in towns and cities from Council Bluffs to Davenport and Sioux City to Dubuque. Our resources allow us to pursue your case cost efficiently from Des Moines. Rest assured that your case is important to us, and we will do everything possible to represent your interests to the best of our abilities.

The name of the Beattie Law Firm is known throughout Iowa as a law firm to turn to for solid legal advice. You may have seen our television commercials over the years. Perhaps a friend or family member has benefited from our legal services. Our personal injury practice goes beyond the borders of Des Moines to the entire state of Iowa and beyond.

Attorney Donald G. Beattie, the founder of the Beattie Law Firm, has practiced law since 1977. Donald's mission during his career is to help his clients secure just compensation while at the same time making industries safer for other consumers as well.

Clients come to our firm seeking a voice in an often confusing legal battle after suffering both physical and psychological damage from a car accident, work injury, other accidents or a mishap involving a defective product (product liability). We are that voice.

We offer a free consultation to all clients, and our fee arrangements are flexible. Most personal injury cases are taken on a contingency fee basis. If we represent you on a contingency fee, we are not paid attorney fees unless you recover compensation. We offer this fee structure because we understand that after a traumatic event, you may not be in a position to pay for legal services. If you feel hesitant about turning your concerns over to a lawyer, we encourage you to visit our offices to speak with us. We are located in an old brick mansion just west of downtown Des Moines near the Art Center. Do not be concerned about parking, as we have free parking in the back of the office.
