The Chioini Group offers large firm service, but with the benefit and efficiency of a small firm platform–we do not perform bulk legal or discount services. Our firm also provides unique and credible advice and representation in a broad spectrum of other disciplines, including construction matters, business representation, personal injury, criminal, and probate issues throughout Michigan, including Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, and St. Clair Counties.

Since 1976, the firm of Chioini, Sarnacki, Reynolds, & Doherty (now Chioini Group) has provided premium legal services and representation for our clients throughout Metro-Detroit and the state of Michigan. Our business is set up to provide the same resources as most large firms, without sacrificing the personalized focus, attention, maneuverability, and cost effectiveness that comes with a modest-sized staff. We pride ourselves on the fact that over 98% of our individual and business clients (and their friends, family and colleagues) become our life-long client/partners and their continued referrals are our lifeblood. Since inception, this office has successfully operated almost exclusively from colleague/client referrals and thrives on that basis.

Firm History
Macomb County Michigan, where we are headquartered, has stood as a bellwether for state and national politics for decades. It is known nationally for its extremely tight niche bar and many out of county law firms and businesses have historically exhibited restraint when litigating here. While we wholeheartedly disagree with these outside perceptions, we are mindful of the fact that this also gave rise to our firm’s prominence in its early years, as our attorneys were routinely engaged by outside firms/businesses to serve and assist as local counsel. We continue today to serve actively as local counsel on a variety of litigation matters.
As one of the longest continuing legal institutions in Macomb County, our firm has played a major role and continuing role in shaping the politics and legal history of this County and State. This office was originally founded in 1976, by 4 trial attorneys from the Macomb County Prosecutors office: Hon. Lido Bucci (1940 -2000), Hon. James Biernat Sr., Carl E. Chioini, and Harold Golski, who saw a serious need for good trial attorneys in the private sector of this quickly growing Community. For years these attorneys worked hard to build practices serving a variety of notable Macomb County individuals and businesses in the process.
Ultimately, two of its original founding members; Hon. Lido V. Bucci and Hon. James Biernat went on to become respected and prestigious judges, while partner, Carl Chioini remained true to his passion of private practice and continued to grow the business. In 1983 attorney Henry Sarnacki joined the practice, followed by Richard Reynolds, Paul Piatt, Gerald Doherty and Randall Chioini. Today Chioini Group has stood the test of time and continually prospers by offering fair, respectable, and affordable legal representation to our clients. Today’s firm would be considered a boutique office, with personnel of about 10-12 persons. In 2010 we expanded to include a satellite office in Southfield and will be expanding to include a Traverse City office.
