At the Dallas law firm Cobb Martinez Woodward PLLC, our attorneys provide insurance companies, self-insured businesses and professionals in multiple fields with effective defense advice and representation. In business and commercial disputes, our work encompasses representation of both plaintiffs and defendants.

CMW was founded in 2008 by 10 veteran litigators. Our firm had more than 100 years collective litigation experience by the day we opened our doors. Even our most junior attorneys already had several years of practice under their belts. Our accomplishments have been noticed. In 2009, Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines named every lawyer in the firm either as a Super Lawyer, or as a Rising Star. 100% is hard to beat.

As a medium-sized firm, we are able to maintain an atmosphere of active collaboration while providing our clients with greater flexibility, immediate access to our attorneys, and personal attention to each case.

Our experience in diverse litigation practice areas - including legal malpractice defense, premises liability, personal injury, product liability, insurance defense, professional licensure matters, general civil litigation and arbitration - have given us a well-rounded understanding of the legal disputes which arise for our clients.

Offering Value-Driven Representation Based on Each Client's Needs

CMW's lawyers are trained in insurance defense litigation. That means two important things: First, we are comfortable and effective in Texas courtrooms. Second, we are accustomed to working efficiently within our clients' budgets and litigation guidelines. Whether we are engaged as insurance defense counsel or in direct representation, we do not overstaff cases, and we do not train less experienced lawyers on our clients' nickel.

We can craft flexible fee arrangements. We accommodate electronic billing submission systems. We are accustomed to delivering litigation budgets and case evaluations, with in-depth assessment of litigation and settlement options, and the likely costs associated with those options.

Our offices are conveniently located in downtown Dallas. We regularly handle cases throughout the Metroplex and the counties of North Texas, Central Texas and East Texas.
