About this firm

From our founding in 1977, Corash & Hollender, P.C., has focused on meeting the legal needs of businesses and individuals. Our attorneys and staff continue to follow some basic principles: Treat your clients with respect. Listen to their concerns with care and compassion. Work with them to develop cost-effective solutions to their problems.

Our attorneys are accomplished legal professionals, each with a particular area of expertise. We work as a team to handle the many client matters that cross traditional subject matter lines. Other lawyers, accountants and similar professionals know of our reputation for high-quality legal work and refer their clients to us. We work with many clients who have been referred to us by satisfied friends, relatives, business associates and other attorneys. The regard of the community and our legal colleagues is an important indicator of the high quality of the work we do.

Over the years, we have observed that our Staten Island clients often have the need for legal representation in New Jersey. Sometimes they, or a relative, have moved there. Sometimes they have business interests or a vacation home in New Jersey. To meet these needs we have collaborated with New Jersey attorneys in various parts of the state, who specialize in various fields to facilitate seamless assistance on out-of-state matters.

Our bankruptcy law practice is well-known; Attorney Paul Hollender is board-certified by the American Board of Certification, in both consumer bankruptcy law and business bankruptcy law, and has been elected to the board of directors of this nationwide certifying organization. New Jersey counsel Michael Detzky, a highly regarded bankruptcy attorney and general practitioner provides the firm the unique ability to assist clients with both Staten Island and New Jersey connections. Thus, the mere fact that a client has moved from Staten Island to New Jersey does not preclude the firm’s ability to provide ongoing assistance in all legal areas.

Our firm is located in a wheelchair-accessible building in The Corporate Park of Staten Island, with ample parking. We have the resources and the experience to act as in-house counsel for businesses across Staten Island. In addition, we are the family attorneys for many private individuals, providing them with representation that meets their legal needs.
