About this firm

Cox Law Group Mission

Our mission is simple. We seek to provide our clients with assistance managing or eliminating debt through thoughtful, skilled and personalized legal advice; prompt, courteous and compassionate service; and helpful guidance through the Bankruptcy process.

Comfortable Process

We strive to make our clients’ experience going through the Bankruptcy process as comfortable as possible. We limit our practice to representing only individuals and families going through the Bankruptcy process. We do not represent creditors or handle cases in any other areas of the law.

Leaders in the Field of Bankruptcy

Our attorneys are leaders in the field of Bankruptcy. Mr. Cox serves on the Board of Governors for the Bankruptcy Section of the Virginia State Bar and speaks regularly at seminars across the state organized to train other lawyers on how to handle Bankruptcy cases and the difficult legal issues that sometimes arise in them. He is the co-editor of the Virginia Bankruptcy Handbook, a desk reference guide published throughout the state for Bankruptcy lawyers. He also was named by his peers as one of the best Bankruptcy lawyers in the state as a part of Virginia Business Magazine’s list of the “Legal Elite.”

We have strong relationships with the Court personnel and the Trustees that oversee the Bankruptcy process. Our staff is also highly trained and focuses 100% on Bankruptcy related issues.

We are constantly looking at ways to improve what we do. If you ever have a suggestion or comment, please feel free to share it with anyone on our staff, leave a note in the Suggestion Box in our Waiting Room, or email us through our website.
