About our Boston, MA office

Demeo, LLP is a boutique litigation law firm specializing in complex commercial litigation. The Firm represents local and multinational companies in litigation matters. Joseph L. Demeo founded the Firm in 1997 after practicing with the Boston law firm of Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., in the firm's litigation section. There he represented a variety of business interests in complex civil litigation in state and federal court.

Mr. Demeo left Mintz Levin to build this Firm, which opened on Mt. Vernon Street in the Beacon Hill section of Boston. The Firm has continued to grow to meet client needs. In 1998, the Firm moved to historic Lewis Wharf and most recently relocated to expanded office space at 200 State Street. In 2007, the Firm added a bankruptcy department, which currently employs a senior attorney and a Chapter 7 Trustee. The Firm is privileged to represent hundreds of clients locally, nationally and internationally through both its litigation and bankruptcy departments.

Demeo, LLP offers its clients the efficiency, personal service and lower cost of a small firm along with work product and advocacy to rival any large law firm. Each of the Firm's attorneys has practiced with major law firms and offers superior legal skills and advocacy. The Firm's growing list of clients - which includes several Fortune 500 companies - stands as a testament to the experience, dedication and superior service of its attorneys.

The Firm's attorneys have been quoted in numerous articles for the Boston Business Journal, the Boston Globe and other area newspapers, and have had decisions featured in Massachusetts Lawyer's Weekly. All of the Firm's attorneys remain actively involved in the Boston legal community and in their respective practice areas.

Demeo, LLP provides excellent representation to its clients in all areas of business litigation, including contract disputes, license, copyright and trademark actions, banking and bankruptcy litigation, construction litigation, insurance defense litigation, shareholder disputes, labor and employment law, real estate, zoning and land use matters, and securities litigation.
