Our Attorneys

Attorney Tyler Thompson, the firm's senior partner, is committed to securing justice for victims of negligence. In 2003, Mr. Thompson was the youngest attorney to receive the Peter Perlman Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award. He recently served as the President of the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys. Mr. Thompson has obtained jury verdicts in excess of $20,000,000.00.

Attorney Liz Shepherd has been with the firm since 1994. Ms. Shepherd is on the Board of Governors for the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys and handles primarily medical malpractice cases.

Attorney Martin Kinney offers experienced representation to injured railroad workers and people who have been hurt by dangerous products. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kinney handled railroad defense and products liability for a major personal injury firm.

Attorney Ronald Wilt joined our firm in June of 2007, focusing in medical malpractice litigation. In 2007, Mr. Wilt was listed in The Best Lawyers in America(r). Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wilt defended hospitals and physicians of all specialties in the Cleveland, OH, offices of a 180 lawyer firm.

Attorney Ty Smith joined our firm in September, 2006, after his graduation from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Mr. Smith is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association, and the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys.
