How We Work

First Steps

After you first reach out to us, we schedule an intake call with you to determine whether your needs align with the services we provide. If they do, we invest a significant amount of time in pre-lawsuit investigation. During this process, we speak and meet with you, review all your documents, determine whether to engage experts and conduct legal research. Then we make a recommendation based on your options, up to and including filing a lawsuit.

Throughout, we explain the process clearly and thoroughly so that you understand your choices and can make an informed decision on how you want to move forward.

Legal Representation

If FeganScott agrees to represent you, you gain a true advocate. Our lawyers have experience in every relevant forum, from administrative hearings to arbitrations to high-level federal courts — and we’ve won important victories in each of them.

We are fully committed to keeping you informed from start to finish. From sharing every related document, to answering any and all questions you may have, FeganScott is committed to transparency and keeping an open line of communication. The exchange of information is critical to effective representation. You will always have our contact information – email and telephone.

We understand that most people have never been involved in the legal process before and it can be very confusing and unsettling. If you must appear in a courtroom or other formal setting, we’ll prepare you carefully and be by your side at every appearance.

We can’t guarantee a particular outcome for your case, but what we can promise you is a highly skilled team of attorneys who believe in justice and compassion, using insight gained over decades of courtroom success and cutting-edge legal tactics to act as zealous advocates on your behalf.

For some types of cases, like personal injury and class actions, we believe our interests should be aligned with our clients’ interests. That means we think we should only get paid if we win.

At FeganScott, we primarily work with clients on a contingent fee agreement. This means we do not bill you by the hour. Rather, our fees depend on our collective success. In the event we are successful for you in your personal action, we will be paid an agreed-upon percentage of the money recovered for you. If we are successful in a class action, we will be paid in amount approved by the Court.

We welcome the opportunity to explore a variety of fee arrangements, including hourly billing, flat monthly fees, partial contingency fees, and similar alternatives. We are flexible depending on our clients’ needs. In virtually every matter, some portion of our fee is based on the outcome of the case.
