About this firm

Who Are We?

We are lawyers, community leaders, parents and grandparents. We are a diverse group of professionals dedicated to helping families and individuals through separation, divorce, domestic violence — the worst times in people’s lives. We know “divorce is tough” – that’s our motto – but our mission is to guide you to a soft landing. We will resolve your legal issues out of court whenever possible, but be fully prepared to fight for you if litigation is necessary.

Founded in 1994, our attorneys bring a wealth of diverse experience to our clients. Our backgrounds include a former prosecutor, published author, investigative reporter, corporate attorneys, and numerous judicial clerks who worked at the State Court of Appeals and State Supreme Court. Our lawyers include Board-Certified Family Law Specialists, Family Financial Mediators, and Parenting Coordinators. Together, we form a knowledgeable, hardworking and effective team.

Gailor Hunt is also a true family law firm founded on the premise that families should come first, and that the legal needs of families are just as important as the legal needs of governments and corporations. We respect all families, traditional and otherwise, beginning with our own employees. Portraits of our attorneys and paralegals with their children and grandchildren line a wall in our office at the historic Pilot Mill building near Seaboard Station. Our firm ethic is to honor our employees’ family obligations.

We extend this level of respect and concern to each of our clients, customizing our services to their individual financial, practical, and personal needs as we help them navigate their way through negotiation or litigation.
