In addition to providing its corporate clients with a range of transactional, employment, tort law, environmental, tax, banking, real estate, and related commercial advice and services, the firm maintains specialized practices in non-profit corporation matters, pension and profit-sharing, construction, and insurance law to meet the varied requirements of its clients.

Hooper Hathaway lawyers have actively litigated on behalf of Michigan and out-of-state clients in the state and federal courts of more than 40 states. They have an extensive appellate practice, including experience in the intermediate and highest appellate courts of many states and of the United States.

Individual attorneys at Hooper Hathaway also specialize in estate planning, domestic relations, criminal defense, real estate development, and other specialty areas. While the firm maintains relationships with larger firms in Washington, D.C., New York, and other major metropolitan areas for assistance in securities, antitrust, international and regulatory areas, the principal practice of the firm is to provide the client with direct representation by a Hooper Hathaway attorney who has many years of active, practical experience in the specific area of the law in which the client requires advice or service.

Hooper Hathaway's regular clients encompass virtually every class of individual and entity from this community, from municipalities, educational institutions, charitable foundations, commercial lending institutions, and manufacturing concerns of local to international prominence, to individual entrepreneurs and professionals, advertising, computer hardware and software, environmental engineering, religious, medical, scientific, architectural, and academic professionals and institutions.
