About this firm

The law office of Jason R. Warran is successor to a longstanding practice of federal mineral leasing and public land law (previously as McDade Warran & Zimmerman; McDade and Warran; and McDade and Lee), before the Bureau of Land Management, the Interior Board of Land Appeals, and federal courts, dating back to enactment of the federal oil and gas leasing law in 1920. The office provides assistance to clients in onshore federal oil and gas leasing matters (particularly in the Gulf Coast, Michigan, and Appalachian areas), including the lease nomination and bidding process, assignments, communitization and unit agreements, and drilling permits; furnishes opinions and information on federal lease status; and assists in establishing original severance of land title from the public domain and in resolving severance issues. Mr. Warran spoke at the AAPL's 2000 Annual Meeting and Conference in New Orleans.
