About this firm

Attorneys Focused On Solutions

At Larmore Scarlett, LLP, we never lose sight of our primary mission: providing innovative, effective solutions to contemporary legal problems.

We limit our practice to issues where our attorneys feel they can provide our clients with the most effective service. Our primary practice areas include tax law, estate planning (drafting of wills, trusts and other related documents), estate administration, real estate, land use planning and business formation. If we feel we are not the best firm to handle a client or caller’s problem, we are happy to provide references to experienced lawyers with the appropriate experience.

Our History

Larmore Scarlett has represented clients throughout the Chester County and Delaware County, Pennsylvania, areas for over 60 years. When attorneys Ashby Larmore and William Scarlett founded the firm in 1946, Larmore Scarlett was the only full-time law firm in Kennett Square. Today, from the same Linden Street address, we provide the same responsive, effective and reliable legal services.

Our Commitment To Efficiency

Our attorneys have extensive experience in the areas of law in which they practice, and are familiar with the procedures and preferences of area courts. They apply that knowledge to take proactive, cost-conserving measures on behalf of our clients. The attorneys work closely with our trained and experienced legal support staff members (some of whom have been here as long as 40 years). Our high ratio of support staff to lawyers allows us to handle your legal issues in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Professional Recognition

Attorneys and judges across the United States have, in rating our firm AV under Martindale Hubbell’s Peer Review Rating™ process,* recognized the skill, experience and professionalism of our lawyers.
