About this firm

The LAW OFFICES OF DENNIS M. SULLIVAN is a well-recognized and distinguished law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. The firm is engaged in all aspects of civil law, including litigation, international law, business and corporate law, business formation, and tax disputes. The firm also handles complex cases involving personal injury and wrongful death claims, probate and trust law, including international wills and estates, and inheritance contests.

The firm is able to provide exceptional services for U.S. and foreign business entities because of the highly qualified skills of its attorneys and staff. Dennis M. Sullivan graduated with honors from the Business School of the University of Santa Clara with majors in accounting and economics. He also graduated in the top 10 percent of his class from Hastings College of Law in San Francisco and served on the Editorial Board of the Hastings Law Review. To further his understanding of international transactions and conflicts law, he undertook studies in public and private international law at the International School of Law, The Hague, Netherlands.

Mr. Sullivan is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Tax Court. He has extensive experience in U.S. and international cases, including trial and appellate litigation as well as arbitration and mediation.

Mr. Sullivan is the "Special Counselor of Confidence in Legal Affairs" for the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in San Francisco and the Legal Advisor to the Consulates General of Switzerland and Brazil. In 2003 he was appointed Legal Advisor to "swissnex," a special Annex of the Swiss Consulate in San Francisco operated in conjunction with the Swiss Science Agency. These positions of trust have been an important factor over the past several years in developing excellent contacts with local and international businesses and law firms in the Bay Area.

In 1998 the German Ambassador to the United States bestowed on Mr. Sullivan the prestigious "Federal Republic of Germany Friendship Award," which is given annually to a very select number of individuals in the United States.
