Lerner Greenberg Stemer LLP, traces its roots back to the Knight Brothers firm, which originated in 1842, six years after the modern United States patent system was created. Our firm specializes in intellectual property law and has its principle offices in Hollywood, midway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, on Florida's southeast coast.

The professional members of Lerner Greenberg Stemer , one of the largest patent law firms in Florida, has over 175 years of experience in representing clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. We devote virtually all of our efforts towards licensing, the prosecution of patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office within the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) framework and before the U.S. Copyright Office. Seven of the professionals and most of the support staff of the firm are fluent in at least one language other than English. We specialize in providing services in German and to clients who are located in German-speaking countries.

Through the years, Lerner Greenberg Stemer has enjoyed extensive experience in patent prosecution for corporate firms, including several of the largest multi-national corporations in the world, associates foreign to the United States, large and small domestic corporations and private individuals. In view of the nature of our clientele, we have made every effort to be at the very cutting edge of every new development that affects foreign nationals and corporations applying for United States patents.

Our technical expertise covers most technical fields, including: general and applied physics; mechanics; electronics; computer software and hardware; and chemistry. The subject matter of the patents obtained by our firm include: semiconductors; computer software and hardware; printing; lasers; catalytic converters; tires; control systems for automobiles; sound systems; medical equipment; nuclear; fossil fuel and fuel cell systems for power generation; trains; postage meters; textile equipment; household appliances; and food processing equipment.
