Loeb, Block & Partners LLP was founded in the late 1930s by René Loeb. René came to New York from Strasbourg, France, with extensive experience in the private banking business and a passion for serving international clients in the United States. He was soon joined by Charles J. Block and Leonard Wacksman, and together they successfully began a practice representing European clients who left Europe for Latin America and Asia prior to World War II. Since then, the firm has steadily grown in size and scope, continually adjusting to our clients’ evolving needs, while at the same time deliberately maintaining a firm size conducive to fostering personal client relationships.
