About this firm

We know Social Security Law and Procedures:

As a qualified lawyer and advocate of your case, we know how claims are approved. We know the Social Security rules on medical conditions and work history. We know how to gather relevant case information, analyze it correctly and use it to craft a strong case towards winning your claim.

Our Team:

Attorney, Matthew Nielson and his father, advocate Barrie Nielson, have 38 years of combined experience working with SSD and SSI clients. Matthew Nielson has been practicing before the Social Security Administration on behalf of clients since 1999. Barrie Nielson is a former rehabilitation counselor who testified before Social Security for 15 years before representing claimants with their disability claims. Along with their office personnel, Ben and John, they have helped thousands of clients across the country with their SSD questions and claims.

Matthew Nielson Disability Law is unique in that we will work with clients from the very beginning of the claim through its final resolution. Most lawyers will only become involved if a claim has already been denied. However, we help clients prepare their initial application, which goes a long way towards setting up for a favorable decision from the start.

You will find that our reputation of excellent service shines from the moment we answer our phones, through our work with claimants, even at times, long past the decision they receive. We often appeal post hearing cases and have been successful in obtaining reversals and remands from the Appeals Council.

We also help you find the resources you need to help you with medical expenses or to help you get back on your way to work.

You Get One On One Service:

Because filing for Social Security Disability can be a daunting task, we work with you from the initial consultation, through the application process and through any appeals process. Few claimants understand Federal regulations and Social Security rules, let alone the medical and vocational aspects of their case. We meet with you in person to gather relevant information. We know what evidence must be given for your initial application and the appeals process. As a result hiring us to represent you could significantly reduce the amount of time spent on your claim.

Don't Let Money Be an Issue:

We do not get paid until you get the Social Security benefits you deserve. Even our initial consultation is free, with out obligation. We take clients on a contingency fee basis, meaning there is no fee until your claim is successful.

Learn How We Can Help You:

We work with you through the entire process. Get you the money you deserve. You don't have to go through it alone. The team, at Matthew Nielson Disability Law, works exclusively in the area of Social Security disability claims. Contact us to schedule your free initial consultation today.
