The attorneys of McDonald, Sutton & DuVal, PLC are experienced trial lawyers, having practiced in both state and federal courts throughout Virginia, including the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court since 1991. Our attorneys handle both criminal and civil matters at all levels, including appeals. We have successfully obtained jury acquittals in many serious state and federal criminal cases. We practice appellate litigation in the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia where we have successfully won reversals in criminal and civil cases.

In addition to our criminal defense litigation expertise, our attorneys are experienced in representing clients in the litigation of commercial or business matters and the handling of transactional matters for business owners throughout the State. We advise small or closely held growing businesses, representing a variety of industries including many restaurants, automotive sales and repair facilities, real estate holding companies, telecommunications companies, professional service providers, wholesale and retail stores and construction companies. Whether the litigation or transaction is small or complex, our attorneys are experienced in providing the knowledge and skill necessary to protect the client's interests.
