We all have something that motivates us - for me, as a lawyer, it's the drive to help make a positive impact on the lives of my clients and to achieve success in the courtroom. I am attorney Michael Modica, and my purpose as a lawyer is to advance the causes of my clients. I represent clients throughout Delaware.

A Proven Record of Success

It's not enough for lawyers to say that they care about achieving success for their clients. They need to prove that they have achieved success. In a legal career spanning more than 27 years, I have won results for hundreds of clients in criminal defense, DUI and personal injury cases.

Success in criminal defense - I have a strong record in criminal defense cases. For example, I won an appeal to overturn a 25 year sentence. In death penalty cases, I have obtained a hung jury, two retrials and the reduction of a sentence from death to life imprisonment.

Success in DUI defense - In drunk driving cases, I have helped many clients keep their driving privileges and minimize the impact of an arrest for drunk driving.

Success in personal injury - I have obtained multiple six figure awards and settlements for my clients in personal injury cases against major entities and corporations.

Becoming a lawyer has allowed me to put my competitive instinct to a good end: Helping people solve their legal problems. As a former prosecutor, I have insight into what a prosecutor is looking for in every case. I know what it takes to achieve the best results under the circumstances.
