About this firm

For nearly 90 years, the attorneys at the law firm of Newman Williams, P.C., have been helping clients throughout the Pocono region to resolve a broad range of complex legal issues. Ours is among the longest continually operating law firms in Monroe County.

Originally established in 1923 by attorney Russell L. Mervine, our firm was built on the principles of courtesy, honesty and integrity. We are proud of the reputation we have established with lawyers, judges and others throughout the Pennsylvania legal community. Our firm is frequently selected by out-of-state attorneys in need of local representation. Our firm's Stroudsburg attorneys are recognized as trusted counselors, skilled litigators and tireless client advocates.

We offer clients extensive experience handling cases in a variety of key practice areas, including bankruptcy, business law, estate planning, personal injury, family law, real estate and many others. Each of our attorneys maintains a dedicated focus on specific areas of the law. The broad collective background of our attorneys allows us to analyze your legal issue from many different perspectives and recommend innovative solutions that consider all potential outcomes.

Our firm and attorneys have been recognized for the quality of the services we provide and our commitment to excellence in the law. We are listed on The Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and four of the attorneys handling cases at our firm have earned an AV Preeminent rating* through the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
