Secor Cassidy P.C., is a general practice law firm representing clients throughout Connecticut. In terms of size, Secor Cassidy P.C. is large enough to have the depth and specialization to handle sophisticated problems, but small enough to preserve a personal rapport with our clients. If you need help with a personal injury claim, estate planning, labor and employment law, real estate, or any other forms of litigation, we are prepared to help. Our firm helps clients everyday in Waterbury, Watertown, Thomaston, Torrington, Naugatuck, Southbury, or anywhere in the valley area.

Our Philosophy

At Secor Cassidy P.C., client relationships remain the cornerstone of our practice. In terms of the legal profession, our attorneys take part in state and local Bar activities, not only as members, but as contributors to practice area sections and executive committees. We actively participate in continuing education programs, staying current with legal and regulatory changes that affect our practice.

Beyond the practice of law, we recognize that in addition to being officers of the courts, lawyers, by the very nature of their calling, have special obligations as good citizens and community leaders. Our Firm actively participates in community affairs and supports various local and regional organizations.

On an individual level, members of the Firm, as well as our staff, are engaged in a wide range of civic and philanthropic activities; supporting charitable, cultural, educational and religious organizations as volunteers, board members and advisors.

Our Community

Our Firm has a long and proud history in the greater Waterbury community. Kellogg and Terry, the earliest predecessor to Secor Cassidy P.C., established a law practice in Waterbury, Connecticut, in 1865. Although there have been variations in the Firm’s moniker throughout the years, Secor Cassidy P.C. took on its current name in 1975.

Today, our main office sits in the heart of downtown Waterbury. The building, once owned by the prominent Chase family, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The brass nameplate that hangs at the front door of our Waterbury office serves as a reminder of the storied history of the Brass City.

Our Southbury law office is located in the heart of Heritage Village in the Heritage Landmark Building. Our first-floor office is easily accessible, with ample free and convenient parking. In addition to office appointments, we offer meetings in our client’s home or remotely via telephone or video conference. Our office is staffed by resident attorneys dedicated to serving the needs of Southbury, Woodbury, Roxbury, Middlebury, Oxford, Brookfield, Newtown and the surrounding communities. Our Southbury and Waterbury offices work collaboratively to offer all of the skills and experience of our combined legal team at the office of our client’s choosing.
