Steve Thayer has practiced law in Southwest Washington since 1977, with an emphasis on criminal defense in DUI litigation. His reputation has been based primarily upon outstanding results achieved in a variety of assaults, DUI, child pornography, marijuana grow/manufacture, and drug, homicide, and sex cases. He is a Founding Member and former Vice President of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, lectured and published extensively, AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for over 15 years, and recognized as a Super Lawyer by his peers for over a decade.

Mr. Thayer has tried and won virtually every kind of criminal case from drunk driving to first-degree murder, and won many cases in the Washington Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.

The firm routinely represents clients in all kinds of misdemeanor and felony cases in courts throughout Southwest Washington, and in the federal courts of the Western District of Washington. Mr. Thayer has also selectively handled felony cases in Idaho, California, and Oregon.
