About our Lexington, KY office

The Getty Law Group, PLLC is the most recent legal entity in which Richard A. Getty and others have practiced. Mr. Getty has practiced since 1974, previously as a Partner in several large Kentucky-based firms and as a named partner in a 96-person multi-state law firm. In 1998, Mr. Getty formed his own firm with the goal of providing high quality legal services to a number of significant Kentucky-based business entities, by specializing in the area of business or commercial litigation and commercial transactions. The practice of the firm has expanded since that time into equine litigation, and the firm represents several prominent horse farms in the thoroughbred industry. The firm also represents several large financial institutions, including Community Trust Bank and PNC Financial Corporation, and a number of mineral producing/mineral holding entities based in Kentucky.

The firm continues to represent clients in significant business litigation matters in Kentucky, including class action litigation, anti-trust litigation, securities litigation, construction and surety ship litigation, and insurance coverage disputes of all kinds.

The firm is noted for producing very high quality work and for its aggressive and successful approach to business litigation disputes. The goal of the firm is to vigorously, loyally and effectively represent the interests of its clients in the most cost-efficient manner possible. The results achieved by the firm, which consists of nine attorneys presently, illustrate both the commitment of the firm to its clients and the quality of the legal work performed for its clients.
