The Goralka Law Firm successfully completed 25+ years of service and is still going strong.

We have had many successes over the past 25+ years. A few of the more memorable follow:

• In a unitary (multi-state) tax appeal with the California Franchise Tax Board, we successfully resolved the appeal and received a judgment against the Franchise Tax Board for a portion of our fees. The Franchise Tax Board refused to provide the complete audit report even after a request under the California Public Records Act. We petitioned the court for that report which was vigorously contested by the Franchise Tax Board. We received the report and a court Order required Franchise Tax Board to pay our fees for the court proceedings.

• We helped Marlene reinstate an inherited IRA after a national bank sold her a more restricted and fully taxable annuity.

• We helped Adzekai reinstate an inherited IRA after inadvertently transferring the securities from a qualified account to a non-qualified taxable account.

• John received an AV Preeminent Rating with Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest rating for both ethical standards and legal ability.

• We helped many clients with high income events such as lottery winnings, business sales or sales of other stocks, buildings or capital assets and minimize the income tax and capital gains taxes from those transactions. We assisted many clients with substantial sales with the negotiation and documentation of those sales.

• We have helped over 3,000 families administer their trust after a death or illness.

• We established a Medi-Cal Asset Protection Trust to protect an apartment complex worth over $1,000,000.

The Firm has grown these past 25+ years. I am blessed to have a talented, motivated and caring team of lawyers and support staff. We have an extended client family that we are honored to assist. Many members of our client family have been with us for over 20 years, and we are now helping the second and third generations. We expanded our practice to provide greater emphasis on advanced tax planning, asset protection and Medi-Cal protection planning.
