About this firm

The McLaughlin Brothers, P.C. was founded more than 80 years ago by George, Walter and Charles McLaughlin. The three brothers were trial attorneys who were all elected to fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Walter H. McLaughlin served as Chief Justice of the Superior Court and George A. McLaughlin, Sr. became dean of the Massachusetts eminent domain bar.

The McLaughlins established themselves as experts in the complex area of eminent domain law. Over the years, the firm has successfully represented thousands of individuals, corporations and organizations whose land has been targeted for taking by local, state or federal authorities. Our goal has always been to ensure fair and honest treatment of our clients throughout the eminent domain process.

Today, members of our firm serve as eminent domain counsel throughout Massachusetts, litigating cases on behalf of their own clients and clients referred by other attorneys. Cases have involved diverse types of real estate such as office buildings, manufacturing plants, industrial parks, vacant land, parking lots, cranberry bogs, private water companies, shopping malls, office buildings, landfills, piers, beaches, storage facilities, apartment buildings, churches, restaurants, billboards, golf courses, residential subdivisions, radio antennas, gas stations, warehouses, chemical plants, industrial land, gravel pits, granite quarries, conservation land, land taken for water supplies and single and multi-family dwellings.
