About Our New York City Personal Injury Law Firm

Brian J. O’Connor has been a New York City personal injury trial lawyer for more than 20 years. Brian founded O’Connor Injury Law in 2006 with a singular focus of helping injury victims and their families get the justice and compensation they deserve after an injury has turned their lives upside down.

Why We Do What We Do

After starting his career as a government attorney for the City of New York and then as an insurance defense lawyer, Brian saw first-hand the dirty tricks and tactics insurance carriers use to manipulate inexperienced lawyers to deny, delay and defend legitimate claims by hard-working New Yorkers so they could increase their profits.

Brian knew that he needed to fight for those that really needed help – injured New Yorkers and their families. O’Connor Injury Law is solely dedicated to fighting unscrupulous insurance companies who try to take advantage of injury victims when they need help the most.

Who We Help

We represent New Yorkers and their families who have suffered serious injuries due to the carelessness, negligence or intentional conduct of others in all types of serious injury cases, including vehicle accidents, construction accidents, slip, trip and falls, NYC municipal negligence, premises accidents, child injury cases, wrongful death and other cases involving serious or life-altering injuries.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide outstanding individualized personal service to each of our clients with the care, attention and dedication necessary to get the best possible outcome for their case, whether that means negotiating early on or going to trial and taking a verdict.

We focus on providing an exceptional level of personal care and attention to each client because we understand that choosing the right lawyer for your case is an important decision.

Our Approach

At O’Connor Injury Law, we only agree to take on cases where we can provide significant value to a client. Some law firms take too many cases even when the injured victim may be able to resolve the case on their own without having to pay a lawyer.

We believe in educating injured New Yorkers about their individual claims and the legal process so that they can make the best decision about their case, whether they hire us or not. We believe that clients are happier and more satisfied when they are kept informed on the status of their case and know where they stand in the process.
