The firm was established in 1982 and offers clients in the Cumberland County and surrounding areas legal services within the parameter of a general practice with an emphasis on civil litigation and real estate. Since its opening, the firm has expanded those areas of practice with the addition of members, each of whom bring a unique set of skills and experience to the team. Members of the firm are active members of the community continuing in the tradition of the firm's founding members, Mr. Thorp and Mr. Clarke. Mr. Thorp served as the president of the Cumberland County Bar Association as well as the 12th Judicial District Bar. Mr. Clarke served as a US Magistrate Judge for the US District Court, Eastern District, North Carolina from 1973-1983 and he and his family are respected members of the Fayetteville community today.
