About this firm

Phillip Paul Weidner & Associates, with Law offices in Anchorage, Alaska. Our practice includes representing plaintiffs in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, aviation accidents, products liability, complex commercial litigation, insurance bad faith, road design and signing cases and automobile, trucking and motorcycle accidents. Phillip Paul Weidner is owner of the firm and primary trial counsel. In addition the firm employs three full-time associates, three paralegals/secretaries and further contracts for appropriate services of numerous investigators and experts, many of whom have worked with Mr. Weidner for years on an as-needed basis.

The firm's litigation experience in pursuing Alaska cases, cases throughout the United States, and internationally, includes extensive nationwide research, investigation and discovery. Mr. Weidner uses his training as an engineer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to utilize experts for his clients and to address the scientific issues in a case as well as confronting adverse parties' experts and scientific issues. Additionally, we work through the International Hague Convention to effect service on and seek discovery from foreign defendants. This includes litigation involving defendants from Sweden, Germany and Japan, and depositions in Sweden and Japan via interpreters. Mr. Weidner was class counsel for hundreds of commercial fisherman in the Bristol Bay price fixing anti-trust litigation and settlements were reached for tens of millions of dollars.

The firm is well known in the State of Alaska and throughout the Pacific Northwest for trial work, jury and appellate work, including representation of severely injured plaintiffs and/or the estate and survivors of the deceased in wrongful death actions, and has served as lead counsel in cases that have resulted in verdicts and/or settlements for multiples of millions of dollars and appropriate confidential settlements to protect its clients' interests.

A brilliant thinker who has a penchant for strange and bizarre approaches to his legal cases. He can win cases that anyone else would lose, and lose cases that anyone else would win.
