About this firm

At Wilner & O’Reilly, APLC, our singular focus is immigration law — one practice, one focus, one passion. The challenges are formidable, the legal terrain intricate, and the strategies pivotal. Yet, the pursuit is justified as it transforms opportunities into realities for a diverse clientele. For athletes, entertainers, employers, entrepreneurs, and families alike, the stakes are significant. Whether it's seizing the chance to perform or compete in the United States, addressing critical business needs, reuniting with loved ones, or seeking freedom from oppressive regimes, we are dedicated to making these aspirations come to fruition.

Our journey began in 2003 when Richard M. Wilner, a board-certified specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law, and Kelly S. O’Reilly, a former Immigration Officer, founded Wilner & O’Reilly, APLC. Leading a team of accomplished legal professionals, our impact extends across local, national, and international levels. Notably, with less than 3% of immigration law attorneys certified as specialists in California, we proudly house two full-time certified immigration specialists.

Grounded in Judeo-Christian values, honesty, hard work, and ethics shape our legal practice. The weight of our clients' lives and aspirations is a responsibility we carry with humility and protective care. Clients ranging from law firms, apparel designers, investors, and international artists to athletes and families choose us for three key reasons. Firstly, our founding partner, Kelly O’Reilly, brings unique insight as a former U.S. Immigration Officer. Secondly, both founders are certified specialists in immigration law, a distinction held by less than 3% of attorneys in California. Lastly, our commitment to responsiveness is reflected in the feedback we receive — a testament to our dedication to promptly addressing our clients' urgent needs.

As a firm, giving back is ingrained in our ethos. Blessed with the ability to contribute, we extend our services pro bono to various individuals and organizations, including active members of the U.S. Military, residents of Human Options, immigrant children, and others verified by Orange County’s Public Law Center, and voluntary missionary services.
