About this firm

The Firm was founded by its managing partner Reid A. Winthrop after several years of successfully litigating disputes on behalf of individual consumers and small businesses. Mr. Winthrop began his career defending insurance companies and other major corporations, and gained crucial insight into the way those companies handle claims by their insureds. Mr. Winthrop now uses that knowledge to pursue the rights of individuals and small businesses denied coverage and/or defense of claims by insurers. Over time, Mr. Winthrop has expanded his defense of consumers’ rights into the fields of business litigation, broker liability, corporate formation and advice, elder abuse, and personal injury, and has acquired the expertise necessary to pursue the rights of consumers in those areas. The Firm is geared to provide its clients with the best possible representation and client service with the intent to achieve the client’s desired result, whatever that may be for each individual client. The Firm provides the personal, individualized attention only a small firm can and will provide based on its client’s needs.

Most of the Firm’s litigation cases are taken on a contingency fee basis, which means that you pay nothing, and we recover nothing, unless we win your case by way of judgment or settlement. This allows clients who otherwise could not pursue their rights to do so with the use of the Firm’s resources and expertise.
