About this firm

Yturri Rose's excellent legal service began in Ontario over 80 years ago. The largest law firm in Malheur County continues its commitment to outstanding service.

The history of Yturri Rose started in 1936 when Anthony Yturri opened his office in downtown Ontario. John O'Keif joined Mr. Yturri in 1954 and created a partnership. The partnership expanded again in 1964 with Carl Burnham, Jr. Mr. Burnham focuses on practice areas of personal injury, insurance law and professional liability. These practice areas expanded our firm's services throughout Eastern Oregon and Western Treasure Valley. Mr. Yturri was the son of Basque Immigrants in Jordan Valley, Oregon. He was a member of the secret service and became an Oregon State Senator. The Yturri Beltway is named in his honor. This pattern of expanding our firm's service area continued when Gene Rose joined our firm in 1968. Mr. Rose provided legal services to his many clients in and around Baker City.

Yturri Rose hired Cliff Bentz in 1977. Mr. Bentz developed a sophisticated practice in the areas of business and commercial transactions, business litigation, land use and planning, farm and ranch, estate planning & probate and real estate. Mr. Bentz was elected to the Oregon State Legislature and is currently an Oregon State Representative for District 60.

Tim Helfrich joined Yturri Rose LLP in 1981 and specializes his practice on personal injury litigation, insurance law, product liability, and professional liability. Bruno Jagelski started with the firm in 1990. Mr. Jagelski's practice consists of various types of civil litigation, focusing on insurance law, personal injury, professional liability, business, and real estate litigation. Brian DiFonzo joined Yturri Rose in 2005 and focuses his practice on business law, municipal law, real estate law, and trust and estate administration.

To keep pace with its growth, our firm expanded its office in 1993 by purchasing the building next door. The building was demolished and a new three-story office was constructed and connected to the existing facility located at 89 SW 3rd Avenue.

Yturri Rose serves many of the same clients, their families and businesses since its beginning more than 7 decades ago. We continue the tradition of excellence set in motion by Mr. Yturri. Our firm has a history of providing expert attorneys with statewide and national recognition for quality service, community involvement and industry leadership.
