Biography

Stephen J. Estey is a founding partner of Estey & Bomberger, LLP with 20 years of legal experience.

In 2012, Mr. Estey was named “Trial Attorney of the Year” by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego for his many outstanding verdicts. His last three verdicts were for $30 million, $11.2 million and $23 million. He has also been named Super Lawyer each year since 2008, included in The National Trial Lawyer’s “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” since 2010 and The Best Lawyers in America since 2011.

He is a graduate of San Diego State University and earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 1992. Mr. Estey is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the State of California.


His specialties include childhood sexual abuse, plus catastrophic personal injury (including automobile, truck, motorcycle and bicycle accidents and injuries, dog bites, slip and fall, products liability, construction accidents, product defects, brain injury, airplane crash litigation, elder law, nursing home abuse and neglect, insurance bad faith, birth injuries and wrongful death).
