Andy Robertson practises in the area of litigation, but focuses primarily on labour and employment matters. He is Calgary chair of our employment and labour law group.
Mr. Robertson's practice focuses primarily on employment law, disability matters and human rights. Acting principally as counsel to employers and insurers, he has extensive experience advising clients on dismissal matters, human rights issues and all other issues relating to employment law. He regularly advises and represents a major primary and secondary educational institution.
Mr. Robertson appears regularly before the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal and has appeared before the Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, labour and commercial arbitrators and umpires appointed under the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
