Associate, Corporate Department Practice Focus Ms. Bier's practice focuses on general corporate representation in all areas of corporate and business law and commercial transactions. She represents many clients in connection with entity formation, mergers & acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, joint ventures and all aspects of corporate transactions and corporate finance. Ms. Bier regularly provides business and legal advice on strategic as well as day-to-day operations, including legal implications, risk management, compliance and current developments in the law. Her client work has a specific focus on intellectual property, software, new media and technology based agreements. Ms. Bier has significant experience counseling clients on all areas of intellectual property law, including, trademark and copyright infringement, trademark dilution, false advertising, and cybersquatting. She handles the preparation, filing and maintenance of hundreds of domestic and international trademark registrations and prosecution and has successfully persuaded the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board on multiple appeals. She successfully negotiated all legal aspects of the agreements and brought those agreements to execution. · While attending law school, she participated in the Family Law Clinic and was awarded Best Appellee Oralist in her Appellant Advocacy section.
